Farm Business Farm Management (FBFM) Administrative Assistant

 

Illinois Farm Business Farm Management (FBFM) is looking for a full-time Administrative Assistant to join and support our leadership team.  Located on the Champaign-Urbana campus of the University of Illinois, FBFM has 40 offices state-wide and assists farmers throughout the state with accounting, financial management and tax consulting services to improve their overall farm business.

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support for a fast-paced State Office. In addition to routine support services, the responsibilities of this position include financial recordkeeping, coordination of meetings and conferences, obtaining supplies, providing information to callers and visitors, and working on special projects. The position requires independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload and recommend changes in office practices or procedures.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

 
  • Associates degree in Accounting, Business, or related field, or the equivalent thereof.
  • Two years’ customer service experience.
  • Two years’ experience working in fast paced, office setting with general accounting or administrative assistance responsibility.
  • Working knowledge of computers and relevant software application (i.e. Microsoft Office and prefer experience with QuickBooks).
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
  • Self-motivated, independent individual.
  • Valid driver's license, U.S. citizenship and background check.
